KARACHI:
Kaleemullah and Denmark-Based Hassan Bashir helped Pakistan win their consolation match at the AFC Challenge Cup 2014 qualifiers against Macau 2-0 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

The consolation win came after the national football team suffered back-to-back losses that led to their disqualification.

Pakistan finished third in Group B with three points. The other teams in the group – Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan – will now join India, Myanmar, Afghanistan, Laos, Palestine and Bangladesh for the main event.

In their last match, Bashir scored the opening goal in the 44th minute before Kaleemullah sealed the win in the 70th.

The Pakistan Football Federation has, however, been dissatisfied with the team’s performance in the tournament.
