The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) updated its code of conduct and issued a notification permitting speakers of the provincial and national assemblies to proceed with their electoral campaigns on Thursday, reported Express News.
Additional secretary of the ECP added that voters may register themselves till the announcement of the election schedule, after which they will not be able to register or vote.
For the convenience of citizens, the ECP has created a registration system accessible through mobile phones via text messages.
The ECP is set to start scrutiny of nominees from March 31.
