Promoting health: Osteoporosis awareness drive planned

The awareness campaign will include informational seminars on osteoporosis.



Nestle Nesvita Calcium Plus has announced supporting the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) by promoting bone health and spreading awareness about osteoporosis, a press release said.



At a ceremony held recently at a local hotel Nestle Nesvita team said that the awareness campaign will include informational seminars on osteoporosis.

The team will also be reaching out to almost 15,000 girls in over 100 colleges communicating the importance of daily calcium intake, spreading awareness about osteoporosis, and conducting free bone mineral density tests.

Educational segments with Dr Farzeen Malik informing people about the disease, its preventive measures and general bone health care will also be aired as part of campaign, the press release said.
