The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) said it will move the Supreme Court over the issue of opposition leader in the Balochistan Assembly.

The Balochistan High Court recently annulled the appointment of Maulana Wasey of the JUI-F as the leader of opposition in the provincial assembly and restored Nawabzada Tariq Magsi at this position.

Talking to reporters after attending an event of Balochistan Bar Association on Wednesday, JUI-F Senator Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani said they would move the Supreme Court and Election Commission over restoring Magsi as the leader of opposition.

He said it was their constitutional right to challenge the judgment of a high court in the Supreme Court.
