Renewable energy: Energy expo to travel country
The expo was launched by French Ambassador Philippe Thiebaud.
ISLAMABAD:
A two-month travelling exhibition titled “Energy for a Sustainable World” is currently touring Pakistan after its launch on March 7.
The expo was launched by French Ambassador Philippe Thiebaud, Ministry of Science and Technology Secretary Akhlaq Ahmad Tahar, and the Pakistan Science Foundation Chairman Professor Dr Manzoor H Soomro on March 7, 2013 at the National Centre for Physics.
A statement issued by the French embassy said the expo is intended to raise awareness among the Pakistani population, especially the younger generation, about the importance of access to energy for emerging countries like Pakistan. The travelling expo is the result of a tripartite partnership which started five years ago between the French Embassy in Islamabad, the Centre Sciences of Orleans, and the Pakistan Science Foundation.
