Two month long war in the valley had displaced 150,000 tribesmen from their homes.

PESHAWAR:
The Khyber Agency chapter of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) has demanded immediate relief for the people of Tirah valley who have been displaced following clashes in the area.

Addressing a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club on Wednesday, Senior Vice Amir, JUI-F Khyber Agency chapter, Haji Shamsuddin Afridi said the war which has been raging in the valley for the past two months has displaced around 150,000 tribesmen from their homes.

The fighting has cost the locals billions of rupees and forced them to take refuge in Orakzai Agency. However, the government does not play its due role in minimising woes of tribesmen, Afridi said.

The leader also criticised the political authority of Khyber Agency for not taking interest in solving the issues of the displaced.
