Marital Abuse: Woman burned ‘by husband’ hospitalised
Faheem Shehzad beat her up when she asked him for money.
GUJRANWALA:
A woman was taken to Civil Hospital on Wednesday after she was burned allegedly by her husband.
Doctors treating her said that she was 30 per cent burned. Police said Kiran Shehzadi, a resident of Machhli Bazaar and a mother of three, told them that her husband Faheem Shehzad beat her up when she asked him for money. She said he later locked her in a room, threw kerosene oil at her and set her on fire. She said her in-laws took her to a clinic “to hide their crime”. Police said Shehzad was missing.
