Thirteen names have been proposed for the interim setup in Sindh

Thirteen members would likely be part of the caretaker cabinet in Sindh, Express News reported on Monday.

The members of the cabinet would be largely from the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the main opposition, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

From the PPP, Zia Lanjar, Agha Wasi, Umar Abbas, Fouzia Jaffery, Dr Amjad, Shujaat Ali and Fazlur Rehman's names have been included.

From the MQM, Barrister Habibur Rehman, Shujaat Ali Baig, Nadirah Punjwani and Advocate Qazi Khalid are likely to be parts of the caretaker setup in Sindh.

The interim government would also include Pir Riyaz Gul from the Awami National Party and Shahid Ghouri from the Sunni Tehreek.

These revelations came after it was reported that the chief ministers of Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhawa had advised their respective provincial governors on dissolving local assemblies in the same manner in which the Balochistan Assembly had been dissolved by Governor Zulfiqar Ali Magsi.

Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf earlier last week convened a major meeting in Islamabad with all four chief ministers in which the constitution of the caretaker setup in Islamabad and the provincial capitals was discussed.

Inclusion of Zia Lanjar, Manager of Faryal Talpur and caretaker of zardari house nawabshah, suggests the level of impartiality PPP and MQM wants in the caretaker setup.
