Tennis: Pakistan U14 team shines in qualifiers
Pakistan beats Turkmenistan with 3-0 at the International Tennis Federation World Juniors Championship in Malaysia.

Pakistan under-14 team began their campaign in style at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Juniors Championship qualifiers, defeating Turkmenistan 3-0 in Kuching, Malaysia yesterday.
In the opening match, Pakistan’s top seed in the under-14 category Muzammil Murtaza defeated Andrey Kashchenko 7-6(3), 6-2, 6-3, while Asian number one Nofil Kaleem outclassed Hadzhymyrat Charyyev 6-1, 6-2.
In the doubles tie, Muzammil and partner Abdal Haider crushed Eziz Jumayev and Hadzhymyrat 6-2, 6-2.
The three-member national team is participating at the World Junior Tennis Championship for the first time.
The tournament is taking place in five continents simultaneously and Pakistan is competing against Turkmenistan and Sri Lanka in Group C of the Asia-Oceania zone.
