War hero MM Alam passes away
Alam was a North American F-86 Sabre flying ace and one-star general.

Retired Pakistani fighter pilot Air commodore Muhammad Mahmood Alam passed away in Karachi on Monday due to prolonged illness, reported Express News.
Alam was admitted to Pakistan Naval Station Shifa hospital in December last year and had been under treatment since then.
Alam was an North American Aviation F-86 Sabre flying ace and an air commodore, who served with the Pakistan Air Force. He was awarded the Sitara-e-Jurat (“The star of courage”).
He received a Pakistani military decoration for his actions during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965, during which he downed five Indian aircraft.
M M Alam, was born on July 6, 1935 in a well educated family of Calcutta in then British India. He completed his secondary education from Government High School in Dhaka In 1951. Alam joined the PAF in 1952 and was granted commission on October 2, 1953.
