Truck stand to be moved to Northern bypass

Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has directed the city district administration to shift the truck stand at Hawkes’ Bay to the Northern bypass where the government has already allotted the land.
Khan was speaking at a meeting with representatives of the United Goods Transport. An 11-member delegation, led by Ghulam Yaseen Khan, told the governor about the problems being faced by transporters and expressed their concerns over the security in the locations where the new truck stands are being relocated.
The governor appointed Karachi Commissioner Hashim Raza Zaidi as the focal person of the project to coordinate with all the stakeholders. Khan assured the delegation that all security arrangements will be carried out, through installation of modern technology and equipment at the control room so that all activities can be monitored. The police and Rangers will be deputed on the entry and exit points of the roads of the newly constructed truck stands.
