RAHIM YAR KHAN: Three people including two brothers were killed over an old enmity here on Saturday. Basti Dhak Laran’s Munir had been killed by Ghulam Muhammad a year ago.

On Saturday, Munir’s sons Zahid and Tahir and nephew Mujahid were going to attend the proceedings of his murder trial in Khanpur.

Ghulam Muhammad and his accomplices intercepted them near Sheikh Abdussattar’s shrine and opened fire on them, killing the three on the spot.

The family of the deceased placed the bodies on a road and protested. They said had Ghulam Muhammad been arrested earlier, three people’s lives would not have been lost.

The police assured the protesters that the culprits would be arrested soon and persuaded them to end the protest.
