In pursuit of justice : Abbas Town blast suspects remanded to CID
Six suspected Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan members were caught on Thursday.

Six suspected members of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) outfit have been remanded to the custody of the Crime Investigation Department till March 30 for interrogation in connection with the Abbas Town bomb blast.
The suspects, identified as Khairuddin, Muhammad Ishaq, Inamullah, Muhammad Shafiq, Alam Sher Mehsood and Irfan, are facing murder and terrorism charges.
The CID police claimed that the suspects had carried out blast on March 3 through an explosives-laden vehicle, killing 50 people, including women and children, and injuring over 120 others.
According to the investigation officer, the suspects belong to the TTP’s Hakimullah Mehsud faction and were arrested from the Khuda ki Basti. “During the initial interrogation, they confessed to their involvement in the blast.”
He requested to the judge to grant their physical custody for completion of interrogation and other legal formalities.
Granting their custody till March 30, ATC-II Judge Khalida Yasin directed the officer to submit a charge sheet against them by the next date.
Separately, Judicial Magistrate, West, Sohail Ahmed Leghari, also remanded them to the custody of CID over charges of attempted murder, encounter with police, possessing explosives and illegal arms.
Police claimed explosives material and illegal arms were seized from custody of suspects, who opened fire on law enforcers with intention to kill them.
