Pakistani photographer captures Japanese life and culture through his lens
Around 380 pictures that capture contemporary Japan up on display.

A photo exhibition titled “Contemporary Japan Caught by Lens” was held at Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) on Thursday, according to a press release issued by the RAC.
About 380 photographs taken by senior photographer, Muhammad Jahangir Khan, have been put on display at the show that will remain open till March 29.
A large number of people from various walks of life visited the exhibition and took keen interest in the photographs that cover every aspect of contemporary Japan including culture, fashion, museums, places of worship, marketplaces, games and the automobile industry.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Toshikazu Isomura, Head of Public Affairs Department, Embassy of Japan, who was accompanied by the Embassy of Hungary’s first secretary.
Isomura praised the efforts of Khan in doing his best to showcase the socio-cultural aspects of Japanese society to the Pakistani people.
Naheed Manzoor, who also spoke at the event, said that the large crowd which gathered to catch the artwork was a positive sign.
Manzoor said the exhibition was a good way to strengthen people-to-people contact between the two countries.
