‘JUI-F promises to bring the change that PPP didn’t’

Pakistan People's Party has failed to do anything for the welfare of the people during the five years it was in power, said a leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazlur Rehman (JUI-F), Maulana Abdul Qayoom Halejvi, during a press conference in Hamadia Manzil Gah seminary, Sukkur, on Wednesday.
"JUI-F will participate in the coming general elections and will, hopefully, bag more seats as compared to previous elections," said Halejvi. "The negative policies of the government, which hasn't given anything to the country other than inflation, unemployment and lawlessness, have put the country and its institutions in danger," he added.
Halejvi explained that the residents of cities, such as Karachi and Quetta, were being targeted by bombers while those in the rural areas had to deal with robberies and kidnappings. "The poor haven't been provided with a single meal by the party, which had promised to provide roti [bread], kapra [clothing] and makaan [homes] to the people."
He went on to claim that JUI is part of the "anti-PPP alliance and will root them out of Pakistan".
During the conference, a leader of Indhar clan, Sardar Ali Gohar Indhar, expressed his approval of JUI-F's policies and said that he was joining the party. He also pointed out that if given the opportunity, he will contest elections from Sukkur, and that 18,000 members of his clan would join the party as well.
