Drones hover over Bannu
BANNU:
Reports of US drones hovering over areas of Bannu have been received after a security forces convoy escaped a suicide attack in Jani Khel.
A security forces convoy was attacked in a suicide bid as it was passing in Jani Khel. The suicide bomber missed the security forces vehicle as his explosive-laden car blew up without causing any loss of life except his own.
Meanwhile US drones have been reported to be hovering low over Bannu. It comes as a surprise as drones have not flown over Bannu in a long time.
Security forces have also targeted militants in Kurram Agency using gunship helicopters.
Six militants have been killed while 2 hideouts were destroyed.
