Rising Fatalities: Violence claims 12 lives in Karachi

At least 12 people, including three policemen, a seminary administrator, a political worker and an alleged target killer, were killed in Karachi on Tuesday.
A police inspector lost his life and another was wounded when a police mobile came under attack near Anu Bhai Park in the Nazimabad locality.
Just a while after, two policemen were shot dead in Phase II, Defence Housing Authority (DHA), within the limits of the Defence police station.
Meanwhile, an alleged target killer was slain and another was wounded by a policeman when they were trying to flee after killing a seminary administrator on Rashid Minhas Road.
An MQM worker, Ejaz Hussain Jafri, who belonged to the Shia community, was shot dead in the Nazimabad area.
Meanwhile, at least two passersby were wounded and three vehicles were damaged in an explosion near Old Sabzi Mandi area.
Police said the nature of the explosion has yet to be ascertained.
