KARACHI:
The Clifton Kidney and Dialysis Centre will organise an interactive programme with consultants to mark the World Kidney Day being celebrated on March 14.
Prof Iffat Yazdani said that the most common cause for acute renal failure in our part of the world still remains infection and dehydration.
Prof Manohar Lal emphasised that diabetics should take good care of their kidneys as they are more prone to infections and hypertension escalations.
Moreover, they can become dehydrated at the smallest provocation.
According to Dr Ishrat Saleem, there is an urgent need to create awareness among people to reduce risks by increasing hydration, early treatment of infection and early diagnosis of kidney failure.
