IDPs of Kurram: Efforts afoot to ensure repatriation

The governor assured to look into the causes affecting the survey of Alisherzai, Mastokhel and certain other tribes.

Efforts are afoot to ensure repatriation of all displaced tribal people of Kurram Agency. This was stated by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engineer Shaukatullah while addressing a jirga on Tuesday. He said an efficient mechanism would also be introduced to facilitate them in getting financial assistance for rehabilitation directly through banks. The governor assured to look into the causes affecting the survey of Alisherzai, Mastokhel and certain other tribes. He further assured to look into the complaints regarding deficiencies in registration of affected families of the agency. He added, except the Khyber and South Waziristan agencies, the process of repatriation of the internally displaced persons from rest of the tribal agencies has been completed and arrangements for rehabilitation of the remaining affected people has also been updated. He said that soon people of Fata would witness a normal life in their native areas.
