Shabash Pakistan: ‘Social action makes a true leader’

The ambitious project of 'Shabash Pakistan' concluded on Tuesday.

The third and final session of Shabash Pakistan was held at the Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) on Tuesday. Some 500 “future leaders” took part in the culminating session of the nationwide programme that has been jointly organised by School of Leadership (SoL) and NUST, said a press release issued by FJWU.


The movement aims at reviving patriotism and “Pakistaniyat” in the youth of Pakistan to inculcate a sense of contribution in the future leaders.

The theme of the third and final session was “Social Action Projects”. It took off with an overview to the day-two session of “Leadership in Action”.

The participants were to come up with action plans for the problems they had identified in earlier sessions. The session specially emphasised on “Leadership in Action not position”.


Shabash Pakistan’s third session started with a discussion about the personal experiences of the participants. Talking about the difficulties they faced while making efforts to achieve their goals, the “leaders” presented project reports that established authenticity and provided a platform to youth all across the world to join in their efforts.



This was followed by an interactive discussion titled “Showcasing Pakistani Legend” that included stories from a number of disciplines like sports, arts, technology, music and science. The session was aimed at inspiring and motivating the youth. They were asked strive more to register their names among those who have excelled despite hardships, said a representative of SoL.

Next session was titled “nation-branding”. With the example of different brands, the participants were told about the power of perception. Connecting this to the concept of nation branding, the importance of communication was emphasised.

The day ended with the “Plan Action” session, in which participants were urged to sustain their current projects.
