Rugby: Pakistan squad leaves for International 7s today

Event begins on March 15 in Dubai.

A 12-player Pakistan squad left today to compete in the International Sevens rugby tournament in Dubai this weekend, according to the Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU). 



Teams from Afghanistan, Egypt, KSA, Lebanon and Pakistan will join hosts UAE for the March 15-16 event.

According to a PRU official, the event is a step towards building a solid team for the HSBC Asian 7s circuit later this year. The team is also expected to participate in a couple of other international events.

The Pakistan squad includes Sair Riaz, Kashif Khwaja, Saad Arif, Waqar Javed, Tahir Rafi, Mohammad Abdullah, Ghalib Javed, Khalid Mehmood, Nasir Mahmood, Fiaz Ahmed, Tahir Yaqub and Khalid Hussain Bhatti.
