Scott Brown captured his first career win on the PGA Tour on Sunday with a closing round of two-under 70 at the Puerto Rico Open to beat Argentina’s Fabian Gomez by one stroke. The 29-year-old Brown birdied the last for the win to finish at 20-under 268. With his first career victory on the tour, the American has his playing card back and a spot in the PGA Championship later this year. Gomez tied for second place with 19-year-old Jordan Spieth at 19-under. Spieth shot a 67.
