Addressing the participants of an important meeting held at the auditorium of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), he urged the nation to unite for uprooting terrorism and militancy from the country, claiming that the governments' anti-terrorism measures including the 3’D’ policy were helping to control the terrorism in the country.
Malik claimed that the government has controlled terrorism to a great extant in Quetta and now every thing was calm everywhere in Pakistan, except for Karachi.
The interior minister said that the situation would soon become normal in Karachi as the government has adopted effective and rapid response options to eliminate terrorism in the megalopolis with the sole objective of making Karachi a peaceful city and economical hub of Pakistan.
Malik further pledged to bring peace everywhere in Pakistan at any cost.
Earlier, Malik and Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan inaugurated two regional passport offices at Sialkot district. One passport office has been established at village Jajjey Sahiyaan (the native village of Malik) on the outskirts of Sialkot.
A regional passport office has also been established at the SCCI to entertain the Sialkot business community.

The offer of talk will always there to broken bone organization but so far capability of an international organization should not be underestimated , at least they can operate in Pakistan and Afghanistan but Drone will deal with them there and by an elected govt. in Pakistan . MOM and Musarraf 's role in next formation of federal govt. should also not be underestimated ,
It is indeed a very great leap by the Hon Minister in keeping with the government policy of exploring to serving the need of friend and foe alike. Although the Province is governed by an opposition party yet it is also a part of Pakistan!! I wish to draw the kind attention of the Hon Minister towards the plight of some aliens who are registered through the NATIONAL ALIENS REGISTRATION AUTHORITY (NARA) which comes under the august ministry of the hon Minister. Infact, it is a great act of humanity that the NARA entertained these aliens and, thanks to the NARA Cards they issued, day to day activities of the aliens are facilitated to a very great extent. There are many aliens who are registered for well over many years and feel the need of visiting their kith and kin in their respective countries. If an arrangement could be made for them to issue a travel document or a temporary Passport or something like that for them to visit and return, it would indeed be a great relief for the longing desire and aching feelings. Hope the Hon Minister would consider this appeal in the light of humanity.
Peace talks never arrange with the back bone broken people. If Taliban's back bone has broken as you said then why are you conducting peace talks with TTP because back bone broken people can never do any thing and if Taliban's back bone has broken and they can't do any thing then why peace talks with them by you and USA?????
You mean those RAW agents you want to talk with?
If their back is indeed broken, then you can then say you can talk with them, that you are talking from a position of strength.
Aaah, now I see.. Ingenious.
TTP must be having the last laugh at the statement of the IM as they are still able to cause so much damage with their broken backs as well as dictating terms for talks. Pathetic statement with no substance.
