In solidarity: Traders protest for LHC bench
Some 500 traders and lawyers marched from Block No 1 to the district courts.

The Markazi Anjuman-i-Tajran observed a shutdown here on Friday on the call of the district bar association to demand a Lahore High Court bench. Some 500 traders and lawyers marched from Block No 1 to the district courts. They marched through Katchery Bazaar and Muslim Bazaar. Addressing the protesters, traders’ leader Khwaja Ahmad Hanif said that an LHC bench was a right of the people of Sargodha. He said the struggle would continue until the city had it. Khatm-i-Nabuwat president Maulana Muhammad Akram Toofani, District Bar Association President Syed Tayyab Sherazi and General Secretary Shafqat Awan also addressed the protesters.
