KARACHI:
The national throwball federation is hoping to host the Pakistan-Sri Lanka series soon in Karachi after it got postponed following the withdrawal of the islanders over security concerns.
“We will remain in touch with the Sri Lankan officials,” said an official of the Pakistan Throwball Federation (PTF) after the deferral.
“Hopefully, they will agree to send their team sometime soon to Karachi as we have no plans to change the venue.”
The Sri Lanka team was scheduled to come on March 26 for a three-match rubber against Pakistan.
The official said the Sri Lankan officials expressed their concerns on the deteriorating law-and-order situation in the country and especially the city.
“We postponed the series after their request but have made it clear to them that the series would not be shifted elsewhere.”
