Kidnapping for ransom: Accused handed life imprisonment

The anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday convicted and awarded life imprisonment and a Rs100,000 fine to a person accused of kidnapping for ransom.
Muhammad Qaseem had kidnapped Nazar Muhammad Sasoli and demanded Rs1.9 million as ransom from his family. Qaseem was arrested by the Frontier Corps from Killa Abdullah district in Balochistan in an operation and was handed over to the Balochsitan Levies force.
The accused was brought before the ATC after a case was registered by the Levies force. He was found guilty and awarded the punishment by Justice Tariq Anwar Kasi.
