Under suspicion: CM’s father accused of torturing lawyer
Shah's father claimed police in Mardan are not ready to register an FIR against the CM’s father.

A resident of Mardan has alleged that Chief Minister (CM) Haider Khan Hoti’s father and a group of police officials imprisoned and tortured his son on Tuesday. The injured victim, Kausar Ali Shah, was admitted to the Combined Military Hospital in Nowshera. Addressing a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club, Jamshid Khan, Shah’s father, said a group of individuals including Iman Ullah, Hayatullah and DSP Nosher Khan locked his son in a guest room where they beat him and took cash and other valuables from his possession. He claimed police in Mardan were not ready to register an FIR against the CM’s father.
