Energy sector: Premier urges increased investment
Janahi said his company is examining the possibility of investing in the energy sector of Pakistan.

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf stressed the need for more investment in energy sector, on Wednesday, while talking to Esam Yousif Janahi, chairman and founder of Gulf Finance House at the PM House.
He said Pakistan and Bahrain had close and brotherly relations.
Recalling his meeting with the Amir of Bahrain Sheikh Hamad bin Isa alKhalifa in Kuwait recently, the premier praised him for his warmth and graciousness.
Ashraf said Pakistan had a good wind corridor, hydropower potential and coal reserves. He said the independent power producers (IPPs) installed in 1994 were doing roaring business.
Janahi said his company was examining the possibility of investing in the energy sector of Pakistan.
He said the investment policies of Pakistan were conducive and attractive for foreign investors because of rewarding returns on investments.
