Golf: Ogilvy ready to make push for Augusta
Oglivy earned him a spot in the World Golf Championship.
MIAMI:
Australian Geoff Ogilvy has shrugged off a miserable spell of form on the West Coast just in time for this week’s WGC-Cadillac Championship at Doral. Ogilvy is coming off a second-place finish at the Honda Classic that earned him a spot in the World Golf Championship that he had not been in line for given his poor early season form.
“It’s nice to be here,” Ogilvy, who triumphed here in 2008, told reporters on Tuesday. “After playing here for so many years in a row, and at a course that I’ve played well at it was going to be disappointing to miss.”
