Football: Milan fine Cassano £34,000
Cassano fined heavily for disciplinary problems.
Inter Milan’s Antonio Cassano was fined £34,000 for his dispute with coach Andrea Stramaccioni at the training ground last week, according to Sports Mole. The Italian striker was left out of the team as he faced the bench during the game against Cantania on Sunday as a form of punishment for the bust-up.
However, Cassano, who has since them apologised for his behaviour, was back for training on Monday as he will be part of the squad which will be travelling to London for their Europa League last-16 first-leg clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday.
Currently, Inter are placed fourth in the Serie A with 47 points from 27 matches.
