According to Governor House spokesperson, Ebad accepted resignations of 11 MQM ministers including Faisal Sabzwari, Syed Sardar Ahmed and Zubair Ahmad.
Three more ministers are expected to hand in their resignations today.
The ministers had resigned last month after the MQM decided to quit the coalition government led by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and sit in the opposition.
Party leaders maintained that the ruling PPP was patronising criminals of the Peoples Aman Committee and the Lyari gangs by withdrawing cases.
The withdrawal of the Sindh Peoples Local Government Act of 2012 deepened rifts between the parties.
Correction: An earlier version of this article erroneously used the word "accepted" instead of "expected" in the third paragraph. The error has been fixed.
