Targeted Attack: Naval officer succumbs to injuries

An investigation by naval police is being conducted to further probe the incident.

An officer of the Pakistan Navy who was shot about a week ago in Mauripur, passed away after succumbing to his injuries at a hospital on Monday.


Lieutenant Commander Azeem Haider was being treated at PNS Shifa Hospital after he was shot at least four times when

unidentified men opened fire on his vehicle near Karachi Port Trust as he was travelling to work on February 27.

An official, while talking to The Express Tribune, confirmed Haider’s death and revealed that the deceased was the education branch officer at the Pakistan Navy. He added that police was already hunting for the assailants.

An investigation by naval police is being conducted to further probe the incident.
