KARACHI:
The Concerned Citizens of Pakistan Society condemned the blast and castigated the administration of Karachi as well as law enforcers for their “supreme indifference” to the blast.
A statement issued by the society said, “The security agencies were reportedly paying more attention to protect the engagement ceremony of Sharmila Farooqui where the prime minister and other dignitaries were expected. This criminal attitude of the government — which does not heed warnings that such incidents are likely to occur in sensitive areas — cannot be condoned.”
