Modern diseases: Sustained research only way out says Vohra

Post-Graduate Medical Institute and Ameeruddin Medical College Principal Prof Anjum Habib Vohra has said continuous research and efforts are the only way to find solutions to new diseases.
Addressing the concluding session of a two-day training workshop on Research Methodology held here at the PGMI on Sunday, he said the West had left Muslims far behind by virtue of its massive research in medical sciences despite the fact that the medical research was once the legacy of Muslims. He said all major breakthroughs against diseases came through consistent research. He said the developed countries allocated billions of dollars for research in medicine. He said the medical research brought blessings for the whole humanity, regardless of cast, country or religion. He urged medical professionals to devote their energies to research.
