Illicit Relations: Girls strangled for ‘honour’
Class 9 students from Chak 629-GB were accused of illicit relations and had allegedly eloped a few days ago.

Two girls were strangled to death allegedly by their uncles for ‘honour’ on Friday.
Lundianwala police said class 9 students Samina and Hajra from Chak 629-GB were accused of illicit relations and had allegedly eloped a few days ago. Their parents called a panchayat and the girls were returned.
The girls were warned to mend their ways and allegedly exchanged harsh words with them. Their uncles Liaqat Ali and Zulfiqar then killed them.
The girls were buried in the local graveyard and neighbours were told the girls had committed suicide. Lumberdar Muhammad Yousaf filed a complaint against Liaqat and Zulfiqar on Saturday.
SP Nasir Sial and SHO Ayub Sahi then arrested the suspects and have started an investigation.
