Collective response: Joint Counter Terrorism exercise held

A Joint Counter Terrorism exercise was held under the auspices of Corps Headquarters, Karachi, on Friday.
An Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release said that troops from the army and Rangers, participated in the exercise with the aid of the Sindh Police, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Fire Brigade, and the ambulance services.
The goal of the exercise was to tackle an extremist threat by incorporating a collective response in an effective manner.
Highly trained army troops of a light commando battalion showed a swift response and exceptional alertness to take on the imitation threat, while the police and the Rangers secured the area.
In a mock drill, the hostages were rescued and evacuated immediately through the ambulance service.
