Petitioner Naeem Ahmed had submitted that denying retired subedars the benefits was unconstitutional discrimination.
LAHORE:

The retired subedar had sought benefits similar to the ones retired commissioned officers get. The petitioner Naeem Ahmed had submitted that denying retired subedars the benefits was unconstitutional discrimination. Subedars, he said, do not get plots, a residence allowance or free education for their children. On the contrary, he said, retired commissioned officers are provided with all these benefits.
