Benefits: Subedar’s plea against Army returned
Petitioner Naeem Ahmed had submitted that denying retired subedars the benefits was unconstitutional discrimination.

We are running out of land to give to all these army men. That should be stopped even for commissioned officers, but facilities such as education and healthcare is a basic right and should not be discriminated. The way non commission officers are treated generally in military deployments and facilities, (even in military hospitals) is very sad. All ranks of military deserve same food menu at military posts/units, and same education and health facilities.
Army(along with other departments of the country) still have not shed old colonial mentality.
