Punjab road crashes claim 22 lives

The details further reveal that 1329 victims were affected by road traffic crashes

At least 22 people died, whereas 1,307 were injured in 1,192 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) across Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Out of these, 576 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 731 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue Medical Teams. The majority (75%) involved motorbikes.

Furthermore, the analysis showed those 695 drivers, 53 underage drivers, 148 pedestrians, and 486 passengers were among the victims of road traffic crashes.

The statistics show that 256 RTCs were reported in Lahore which affected 300 persons placing the Provincial Capital at top of the list followed by Faisalabad 69 in with 65 victims and at third Gujranwala with 68 RTCs and 72 victims.

The details further reveal that 1329 victims were affected by road traffic crashes including 1054 males and 275 females, while the age group of the victims shows that 201 were under 18 years of age, 735 were between 18 and 40 years and rest of the 393 victims were reported above 40 years of age.

According to the data 1020 motorbikes, 67 rickshaws, 113 cars, 23 vans, 14 buses, 36 truck and 97 other types of auto vehicles and slow-moving carts were involved in aforesaid road traffic accidents.
