Court demands serious responses from the authorities, issues short notice order on Hazara Town bombing

Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry gave a short order for the suo motu notice of the Hazara Town bombing on Tuesday ordering the authorities to provide compensation to the survivors and to ensure that a minority group is not left alone, Express News reported.
The hearing was headed by the Chief Justice and three-member bench.
Justice Chaudhry also remarked that Balochistan's provincial authorities had failed to get to the root causes of sectarian killings and terrorism in the province.
The court cautioned against the implementation of provocative measures that risked further spreading hate and sectarianism in the terror afflicted province.
The court demanded actionable answers from the Balochistan police, the Chief Secretary and the Home Secretary regarding their course of actions in the aftermath of the Quetta Hazara Town bombing.
The hearing has been postponed till March 6.
