LAHORE: Kajraare, the highly awaited film directed by Pooja Bhatt, which stars Himesh Reshammiya and Pakistani model-turned-actor Mona Liza will release in end of October or the start of November. The film, which was shot in Jordan, shows Reshammiya playing a lawyer who falls in love with a courtesan. The film revolves around their struggle to find true love.

Mona Liza told The Express Tribune that the movie, whose release was postponed, will now release either at the end of October or early November. She said that the movie would be released in Pakistan and India simultaneously. “I am leaving for India on November 5 and most probably I will be there when Kajraare is released,” she said.

Mona Liza is making her film debut with Kajraare, and her success at the box office will determine her acting future. While actors such as Ali Zafar managed to make an impact on the Indian box office, other actors such as Meera and Moammar Rana have not been able to pull off the same success. Pakistani actors such as Salman Shahid, Javed Sheikh and Humayun Saeed have also worked in Bollywood, but not in lead roles.

Mona Liza told The Express Tribune that she had some new projects in the pipeline but would only reveal details once they were confirmed. She told The Express Tribune in an earlier interview that she had a great experience working with the team of Kajraare, and praised the professionalism in Bollywood and on the film sets.
