Anti-dengue day: Walks held to raise awareness

Walks and seminars were held all over the city to raise awareness of preventive measures against dengue, while special cleaning activities were conducted at offices and schools to remove mosquito-breeding sites on Sunday.


Town municipal administrations organised walks in Gulberg, The Mall, Wagha Town, Aziz Bhatti Town, Samanabad Town, Shalamar Town, Nishtar Town and Johar Town.

Students and NGO volunteers joined the Lahore Waste Management Company in various activities including a cleaning drive and a door-to-door awareness campaign.

The Lahore Development Authority held cleaning days at its offices, spraying insecticide and removing garbage and water pools where mosquitoes could breed.
