Sindh Governor Ishratul Ebad left Karachi for Dubai and London early Friday morning.
KARACHI:
Ahead of the signing of the new bill which would restore the local government system of 1979 in the province, Sindh Governor Ishratul Ebad left Karachi for Dubai and London early Friday morning.
This left the task of signing the bill into law to acting governor Sindh Assembly Speaker Nisar Khuhro.
Ebad, who travelled on EK 605, is currently in Dubai and will go to London to meet the MQM chief Altaf Hussain, and discuss issues including his resignation.
Regarding the sudden departure of the governor, MQM leader Izharul Hassan told The Express Tribune, “How could the governor have signed the bill when we are against it?”
