LAHORE:

An additional district and sessions judge directed a petitioner – who wants to register an FIR against three women for trying to abduct his children – to approach the SHO concerned to record his statement.

Petitioner Tehseen Khan told the court that his children, four and five, were studying at a school located near Temple Road, where he lives. He said that on January 9, three women who identified themselves as Abida, Rubab and Iqra told the school management that the children’s mother was in hospital and that doctors had ruled out any chance of survival.

They said they were the children’s aunts and asked that the children be allowed to leave school with them, a request that the management granted.

When his children and the women were boarding a rickshaw outside the school, the petitioner’s brother Mohsin saw them and raised an alarm. The women tried to escape but were caught

The petitioner said that the women were taken to the police station and the SHO was asked to register an FIR against them but he had not done so.
