Women have to make the choice, be economically independent or be dependent on spouse, dad, brother etc. Better to stand on your own two feet. Men will then understand, and respect women more. Mullahs and their like will be out of business.
I thought this was an interesting endeavor by ET when I saw the title, but after excitedly opening the survey I was so disappointed. I thought that this was a survey for working women, but your first question was about whether someone would let their wife/daughter work, one obviously meant for a man to answer, and that too about the reporter industry. and why the question about whether fashion design is a sustainable occupation. what could you possible gauge from that? and given there's plenty of bored rich housewives doing that and making copious amounts of money, clearly it is....
i think there are only two respecable professions for women in Pakistan i.e. Medicine and teaching. Remaining all areas are men centered and dominated where women are more insecure as compared to above mentioned two fields.
