Written-off loans report to be made public

The chief justice allowed lawyers to make the report public.

The Commission on Written-off Loans submitted its complete report to the Supreme Court on Wednesday.


The Supreme Court gave the lawyers on the case four weeks to go through the two volumes of information. The chief justice allowed them to make the report public and directed the Registrar’s office to give away copies to the lawyers concerned.

Justice (retd) Syed Jamshaid Ali headed the three-member commission that submitted the report on all written-off loans, from 1971 to date.
