Crackdown: Vehicles seized, fine imposed
RTMA’s Enforcement Directorate also sealed three shops constructed in violation of approved maps.
RAWALPINDI:
The Rawal Town Municipal Administration (RTMA) on Tuesday confiscated two trucks of goods and imposed Rs52,000 fine on encroachers during its ongoing drive against encroachment.
A task force led by Town Municipal Officer Ahmed Kamal and Town Officer Aftab Chohan, launched the operation in Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, Iqbal Road, Benazir Bhutto Road (Murree Road), Kurri Road and Sadiqabad.
The force also warned that the goods seized of permanent encroachers would not be returned and cases would be registered against them, besides, making arrests under the law.
