KARACHI:
The men’s national skiing championship finally concluded in Naltar after a week’s delay as athletes waited for the chief guest to arrive at the resort. The Pakistan Air Force clinched the trophy after close competition with Pakistan Army, while Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts lifted the Shah Khan Ski Cup. “We can’t fight against nature,” a Ski Federation of Pakistan official told The Express Tribune. “We waited for the prize-ceremony because the chief guest Air Tahir Rafique Butt couldn’t fly out to the resort. However, the matter is settled now and the last skiing event of the season will begin from February 21.”
