The large number of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of Mehsud tribe on Friday held a protest rally from National Press Club (NPC) to Super Market to press for their demands.
Participants of the rally demanded that government return them back to their native place and provide compensation for damages incurred by 57,000 houses, business places and educational institutions.
Awami National Party (ANP) leader and MNA Bushra Gohar visited the protest camp and expressed solidarity with protesters.
Mehsud IDPs from South Waziristan have settled in Tank and DI Khan districts since the Reh-e-Nejath operation in 2009.
