Reckless driving: Road accident in Upper Kurram injures 24

One of them is under intensive care because of internal bleeding.

At least 24 people were injured when three vehicles collided in Sadarah area of Upper Kurram Agency on Wednesday.


The emergency incharge at Parachinar Headquarters Hospital, Dr Hasnain confirmed that injured passengers were brought in for treatment and 21 of them were discharged after being administered first aid.

Three passengers who were critically injured have been admitted, the doctor said, adding “we operated on the fractured bones of two patients.”

One of them is under intensive care because of internal bleeding.

Reports indicated that the accident was a result of negligence on part of the car driver, who collided with a van, causing a third van to pile up in the accident.
